MONTHLY OVERDOSE PREVENTION, RESPONSE & AFTERCARE TRAINING
about the TRAINING
MAAP hosts a monthly training on overdose prevention, response, and aftercare. Join us to learn about the basics of harm reduction (including safer use strategies and policies that save lives), examples of stigma-reducing language, the effects of opioids and naloxone on our bodies, and how to identify and respond to an overdose. We will also talk about the war on drugs and strategies to keep ourselves and each other safe!
Led by Rachel Bolton, MAAP's Program and Outreach Organizer, participants will leave with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to a person experiencing an opioid overdose - including how to use the naloxone (brand name Narcan), and considerations and safety planning around calling 911.

Our 2025 trainings are being held on zoom on the first Monday of the Month from 4-5PM: February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, Aug 4, Sept 1, Oct 6, Nov 3 and Dec 1. You can register for a training using this registration form.
We recommend this training for college-aged people and above. Please reach out to schedule a group training. Reach out to Rachel at rbolton@maapma.org with additional questions or clarifications.
